John Boyne uses Repetition in many of his paragraphs because he is trying to express the way kids see and say the repetition in their sentences. Or he could also be showing important parts that are linked to the story. The way kids think is really straight forward and most of the time they don’t know that much about grammar so they use the same words they know and they use what they know to talk

BIOGRAPHY

He was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1971. He studied English Literature at Trinity College. He also won creative writing at the University of East where I was awarded the Curtis Brown prize.

His early writing consisted mostly of short stories.

He has published seven novels:

  2. THE CONGRESS OF ROUGH RIDERS (2001)
  3. RIPPEN (2004)
  4. THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS (2006)
  5. NEXT OF KIN (2006)
  6. MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY (2008)
  7. HE HOUSE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE (2009).

THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS is made into an award winning Miramax film. It has become very popular and this book has leaded all his books to victory, with winning so many awards. His novels are published in 41 languages.

He lives in Dublin, where he is currently working on his eighth novel.
